AGENCY NEWS WestEd Celebrating 50 Years

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 authorized federal funding for Regional Educational Laboratories (RELs). Among the 10 RELs established across the country a year later were FWL (Far West) and SWRL (Southwest), which merged three decades later to form WestEd.
