Building the Capacity of State Education Agencies

The Center on School Turnaround (CST) is one of 22 federal Comprehensive Centers charged with building the capacity of state education agencies to help districts and schools meet student achievement goals. Specifically, CST:

• Creates a pro-turnaround statutory and regulatory environment
• Administers and manages turnaround efforts
• Provides targeted and timely technical assistance to state education agencies on behalf of local education agencies and schools
• Advocates and builds support for local turnaround efforts
