COLLEGE & CAREER California College Promise Project: Improving Affordability, Access, and Completion

In California and throughout the U.S., there is rising demand for a college-educated workforce, but the increasing cost of college can impede access to higher education for students from low- and middle-income families. College Promise programs can help address this challenge.

The programs incentivize college enrollment, persistence, and completion by offering financial, academic, and other support services to students based on where they live or attend school. With 43 College Promise programs, California has the largest number in a single state.
